Submissions
Poster
All researchers working in biomedical and clinical AI fields aiming for Discovery, Translation and Application are invited to submit applications for a poster presentation of their research. Abstracts for the poster presentation must be written in English and should ideally not exceed 500 words.
Student research showcase
Graduate students are invited to submit a 2-page abstract (including figures, tables, and references) for a 10-minute podium presentation on their research in biomedical and clinical AI.
Submission format: single PDF.
Competition criteria: Based on the 2-page abstract submission and presentation, we will select the top three presenters and award them certificates and small prizes. The evaluation criteria for the presentation are threefold: comprehension, novelty, and engagement. The presentation should elucidate the research's background, significance, and key findings in a structured manner suitable for a non-specialist audience, avoiding excessive jargon and ensuring balanced time allocation for each segment. Novelty assesses the originality and innovative nature of the research. Engagement-wise, presenters are expected to pique audience interest without oversimplifying, exude enthusiasm, and demonstrate effective public speaking skills.
The submission is suggested to include the following sections:
- Aims and Objectives - State the main objective(s) of your project.
- Justification for the Research Topic - Explain the motivations for your project.
- Research Questions - Stating your research question is essential. This might be done in a list.
- Research Methodology - If you already have plans for your research methodology, explain them here. If you have not found an appropriate methodology yet, or wonder which one to choose, this is also the place to mention it. In this case, list the requirements your methodology should fulfill.
- Research Results to Date - You are not required to have results. But if you already have some, present them here.
- References – Any citation.
